goddess

i saw her on your tshirt
surrounded by pretty flowers.
the off white colors,
like alabaster

her random howls
transfixed forever
in your heart

i feel her in your lips
and i realize
you will never cease to weep.
in bluesy towns where the last strains of jazz,
creep through the windows
reaching your ears in the cheap motel.

last notes of desire
diving down like rain
blessing the sleepy town,
where someone pines for his goddess to take him away.

didn't you tell me once,
you wanted to die the same way?
